SAARECK CASTLE

AN EDITORIAL STYLE WEDDING IN THE EXQUISITE GESTHOUSE OF VILLEROY & BOCH

Mettlach | Germany

WEDDING

Viola and Mark, high school sweethearts, returned to their roots to celebrate their marriage after building their life in Frankfurt am Main—Germany’s financial hub. Their wedding ceremony was held in an intimate Catholic church in Mettlach, where a close circle of family and friends share deeply emotional moments with them. Following the ceremony, guests gathered on the terrace of Saareck Castle which set along the banks of the River Saar, offering a natural and idyllic backdrop for the reception. The celebration continued at the guesthouse of the world-renowned porcelain manufacturer Villeroy & Boch. Its grand yet cozy foyer, paired with a long table arrangement framed by rich dark wood panelling, created a distinctive atmosphere for their editorial style imagery. Blending heritage architecture with modern romance, their wedding is a milestone which was marked by sincerity, warmth, and understated elegance, honouring where they came from while reflecting who they have become.
